Gordon Ramsey's latest series is different to previous F Words, in that instead of helping struggling restaurants, he is running a competition to find "Britain's best regional restaurants" in various categories - Indian, French, Chinese, etc. Still plenty of gratuitous effing and blinding, mind. Last night was Italian, and featured a restaurant in Bristol versus Salvo's in Headingley. Salvo's won!     Salvo's is great! I remember a few years ago the old Italian guy that did the pizza's.He would sing opera aria's and stuff! He was brilliant!.I think he died about 2 or 3 years ago. Shame.

They'd taken over a semi and restyled it in a tasteless way to depict the home of a "defrocked bank manager", complete with naff garden gnomes. When they'd finished filming the couple who owned the house asked if it could be left that way as they thought it was an improvement! Wasn;t impressed with the story of A Passionate Woman, i thought she was a stupid cow, but the Leeds spotting was good.Only thing wrong was the colour of the picture house, i lived across from it in the 80s and i'm sure it was green or blue back then. Not whatever it was in the show.

A new detective series is being trailed on the telly at the moment called "DCI Banks." It's based on the character created by Leeds-born author Peter Robinson. I read somewhere that the story is based on his book "Aftermath" which was set mainly in Leeds. Anyone notice any filming going on anywhere?
