It just shows how the mind can play tricks. I could have sworn that the Tetley's and Eldridge Pope huntsmen faced in opposite directions! I was right about the monocle, though!

If that's Carlsberg's attempt at winning back customers with Tetley's heritage, it's backfired spectacularly (with me, anyway.)PS I thought they'd dropped the Huntsman back in the 80s, when they started selling their beer down south. There was a clash with a southern brewer called Huntsman Ales (or something like that), who's logo was a mirror-image of Tetley's, but otherwise identical, even down to the monocle. Tetley's began using a black star logo, if memory serves.      When i saw the poster in a bus shelter last week i immediately thought of you Si.I wonder why.....

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Eldridge pope took a fee for allowing Tetleys to use their copyright.Tetleys trade mark is quite obscure but it does involve a star (& garter) as part of a semi heraldic set up!!The huntsman took many forms over the years. The point here is that as usual Carlsberg is treating the general public as ***** idiots, but doesn't advertising from many many different companies do this??I can buy double glazing direct from lads who fit it and get purchase and fitting cheap on both counts.I can invest in sound investments outside the top banks and BS's that rip you off at every turn. I can buy cheap shampoo that cleans your hair as well as any designer garbage.and I can buy a pint of Leeds Pale knowing it's a genuine pair of guys who took a risk and take a pride in what they do and aren't in it to be mega rich.....So Tets is dead and long live "Leeds".....But be warned in 20 years time the circle may turn fully round again......I hope not.Entreneurship should be backed.Greed shunned........
