[quotenick="SiI had a knackered Bantam...My first bike was a lovely Bantam 125 Si - £30 fully overhauled ad repainted from a friend in Ilkley I traded it in for a fabulous AJS 500 single which I had to sell later as I was under 25 and the insurance renewal was a no go.Since becoming "the oldest rocker in town" at 66 years old I've got a beautiful yellow Suzuki Bandit 600, have just sold a great Royal Enfield 500 (great while they're OK but oh the cost of parts and repairs) and as a final treat in my motorbiking career last June I bought a Jinlun Texan 125 twin - fair enough a Chinese "gimmicky cruiser" but how I love that machine. On the road £1,599 with all accessories, luggage panniers, tools and the lot - and does nigh on 100 miles a gallon - rocker gearchange and footboards, and finished in lovely burgundy and chrome everywhere.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

The Tut & Shive in Yeadon was an interesting pub last time I called in about 10 years ago. Full of charactor and old world charm. If I remember rightly it had an old bog seat on the bar and, alot of other stuff salvaged from skips which made up the pubs unique decor. I don't know if it's the same now but, if it is I'm sure it would make for some interesting photography. I must pay it a visit again with my camera.

Only one teensy problem - its shut down!
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Only one teensy problem - its shut down! Is it a recent closure, as it looked to still be open on Google street view? I guess it just goes to show, just how out of date the images really are on street view!
