A wonderful collection of real nostalgia there Cardi - these items are absolute gems. There are the burnt and peeling remains of a painted lintel in Kirkgate, over the former passageway which led to Wallace Arnold's coach station. It reads "ROXBY CAFE" and by Jove you got lovely dinners in there, waitress served by two splendid ladies and prepared in the tiniest litchen you can imagine.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Thanks - you can see Roxby Cafe on google street view. We should get a pic on her before it gets developed though. I'll not be in town for a couple of weeks now.
