Fred, we used to live in cookridge, and remember Neave Pexton decorating our house at least twice in the years we were there..He had a board that went against the wall outside..... never got nicked over night, you wouldn't leave a board out now...

Lightman, No, Barbara Taylor Bradford did not go to Armley National CofE school and if she was in the same class as Alan Bennett then another confirmation that it was not this school as the boys were kept appart from the girls, purely a boys school. It would appear that she went to Town Street CofE school then on to Northcote girls College, the private one on Town Street.Keg, yes I remember seeing Neave Pextons board as I came into Leeds down Kirkstall Road before I got in touch with him again.

My brother went to Armley Nash and he also went to Northcote for a while,yes it was private but it was a mixed school.Never heard of Town St C of E school though!!

You are right Cardiarms, that was my thinking too but on some info on her it says Town Street CofE, I have never heard of it either. lol.
