Marsden Rail have some excellent videos of early diesel freight workings around Leeds, including a special brake van.

The Tinsley/Sheffield area youtube clips were great.Never worked in the area but a great insight as to howthe 'old'railway operated.Clips of guys chasing loose shunted wagons, dropping the brake offthe hanger and forcing it down with a brake stick - classic, good demonstartion of uncoupling with a curly hooked shuntpole, coupling( not shown) was a real art.Notice the driver getting out of the Scammel cab, just stepped out,no climbing up or down, ideal for town deliveries.
