Leeds mystery building?

Hi guys, i got an e-mail with a picture attachment, It's someone asking me if i recognise the building, It was found in a loft with a set of pics marked Leeds 1957.I don't recognise the place myself, I wonder if any of you can help?I've put the pic in the secret Leeds flickr group herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/435147 ... tleedsIt's not even 100% the place is actually in Leeds.Perhaps someone can post it here for me.All help is great.Cheers!

There you go Phill. Strange mix in the design, gothic with chimneys and urns reminiscent of ancient Greece structures, wondering about their mystic significance, being in Leeds

I don't think it's Gothic, Steve. I'd guess it's an Italianate style known as Palladian, with an octagonal domed cupola, and a Classical portico featuring Corinthian columns (more Roman than Greek.) The "chimneys" are odd though, looking a little like LeonardHenry's truncated pyramids/obelisks. If it was in Leeds, I'm surprised we've never seen it before.
