Great stuff, Cardi. You've been busy! I noticed an old sign in Otley the other day. I'll try to remember my camera when I next pass. It says "CAFE" and is painted on a chimney stack roughly above Middlemiss' butchers. You can see it from the market place, but it's invisible from the street below. There's also the well-known palimpset (as Drapesy would say) on Boroughgate.PS Great detective work on matching the market plaque and the Leodis pic.

I'm trying to post pictures of some Otley signs, but it says the file is too big. Anyone know how to reduce them? They're on "My Pictures." Cheers,Si

Open the photo on you computer - ther should be some sort of resize function. I usually reduce by 50%. then save with an alternative name to the original.

Cheers,Si Open the image into 'paint' then click resize(or press ctrl w) then type in the box the amount you need to resize them by,click save then repost.ps/ i tend to reduce them by 50% at first depending on the size of the pic but if you click properties on the pic you will find out exactly where you stand.I hope this helpsRegards Sean    pps/ unless your on a mac then you will have to do the macintosh equivalent
