I've traced one line of my family back to 1588 through Ancestry - on the fortnight's freebie. I was talking to someone on the bus this morning (that's free for me too) and she recommended Leeds Central Library.

is anyone having problems with Ancestry???. ive tried to look at my tree's and there not there, it tells me i'm logged in at the top and lets me access my account but when i click on view my tree's it doesnt it goes to start as if i'm doing a new one?

Concerning the historical directories link , i have found that for some reason, it is never possible to search it using the aol search engine, you have to go to another portal, otherwise you just get a hung home page when you try to search. Sometimes it is not even possible to get the home page using aol.

i dont use AOL, i have it saved to my favourites, i have always been able to get on to it through this way, but this is the first time i have not been able to look at my tree's everything else is there? ? i know they are doing maintenance on 19th but wondered if its gone down? thankyou anyway
