tesco is one of the biggest land owners, all there profits buy land and pay no tax or a little tax

The Safeway in Otley was sold to Waitrose by Morrison's, for the same reason mentioned earlier. However, the nearest Tesco's is in Ilkley. A new Sainsbury's opened here recently.As for Tesco's taking over the world, several years ago, I was on holiday in Phuket, Thailand, and as we travelled through the jungle, there was a huge Tesco in the middle of nowhere! Some of the produce was a little different - cling-film covered plastic trays of what looked like rusty pins and needles I assumed were dried fish. Also weird fruit (or veg?) which were lime green with da-glo pink leaves...

I haven't been in a Waitrose for about 16/17 years, when I was on holiday in the Thames Valley. As for Ilkley, best supermarket by far is Booths. Much though it pains me to say so (they're based in Preston) but they are excellent. Especially for good quality bottled ale - and they usually have some of these for around a£1 a bottle. We always go just before Christmas for cheap ale, and their fantastic selection of cheese.

It on the cards that the Roundhay road tesco is all going to be revamped all of it on that site so they are going for Gold every where.Do you know the tesco extra point you get there at tesco well a guy i know when bust 3 years ago and shopped at tesco collected these point or what ever they are, so years after still spent the same amount of money as when he was working, bang tax man on his case told tax man he when bust, yes we know but you still spend the same amount of money every week at tesco, got him on the tesco extra points so they are all tied in guys warningkeep shopping around.
