I said that about six posts ago,It would help with bandwidth (and multiple posts) if people would just read threads instead of just posting!     You mean.... more than one person might hanve posted a message since I last looked? oh! Frustrating sometimes when things are reposted without even a look back - good way of missing an awful lot of stuff here

I think you mean Dysons (the former famous jeweller and pawnbroker) - as far as I know this was a posh restaurant (no doubt with prices to match) which originally at least belonged to the Marriott Hotel when that opened.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Still, once the good people of Halton can buy everything they need at Tesco, all those other shops won't be needed any more, will they?

Travelling through the outskirts of Leeds last week I noticed The Barleycorn at Collingham is now an Italian restuarant, also The Travellers Rest on Harewood Avenue appears to be no longer a pub.My apologies if these have been mantioned before.

The Black Bull in Pudsey has now reopened it was closed down by the police a few months ago.I think it lost its licence because of drug problems it has been refurbished and opened about a week ago.
