I'm well impressed.Do you know how hard it can be to pin point a railway tunnel sometimes? It's all underground of couse lol ;-)Just the tell tell feint mark were the earth changes at the portal. To tell you the truth mate i can spend hours going over google earth.Im the same with old maps,i remember once for christmas when i was about 6 or summet i asked father christmas for a A-Z lol I do the same! The other night I had two maps open at once, an old one from the 1800s and Google Earth. I traced the tramway from Leeds to Rothwell Haigh and found that the electricity sub-station was still there. It's very addictive, is mapreading - I started with an old road atlas I bought for 3p at a jumble sale when I was about 12!

I'm not sure if the car depot from the map is the same building on the current site.I was going to go inside the Kirkstall one the other week as it was open, but I was tired of walking by that point so a photo of the outside had to suffice!Enjoy Crich - I've never been but will get there one day!http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&F ... &encType=1

He's guessed one place at the Oakwells behind Tesco's already. The other 2 can't be a million miles away i'd say lol Also Chrism has guessed the sculpture is in Mutton chops back garden. He got the clue.I don' think he knows were he lives tho I knew it was Richards gaff as I have seen pix of it before, I sort of remembered it was up Oakwood/Roundhay/Wetherby Road way but I ain't been there even though I know him, slightly. I have a few Jazz musician mates in Leeds and he's popped up at gigs at The White House and The Mansion. I've also seen him play with bands all over the place. He is very talented and apparently has a huge Jazz record/CD collection.
Sit thissen dahn an' tell us abaht it.

It was purely by chance that I knew this one though, as I used to live just around the corner, so didn't need any of your awesome detective work. Agree with you and Tasa about maps though - fascinating!
