Lord Nelson in Armley has got the "To Let" signs up and was ominously shut the other (weekend) evening when I drove past. That looks like 2 in a row of the three pubs once there gone in quite a short time.

Nelson Inn at Armley next to Golden Lion (Lord Nelson is in Holbeck)I also notice Crown at bottom of Tong Rd is up for Let. Also heard arumour that Royal on Town St may be closing and altered to Flats.

I assume Mr McPhee frequented a lot of rough pubs in the name of 'journalistic research.'

Two bits of good news:1.The Prince of Wales is open again - they didn't muck about.2.Leeds has 3 working breweries - The Fox and Newt is serving their own brewed ales again - well worth a try!

Went past the Rag in Yeadon this evening and the lights were on but the door was closed, looks like someone may be planning on opening it up again.
