What about "Intime" in the Merrion, better still anyone remember going to Terry's Alltime after club kick out.Although it's before my time, I remember as a kid a night club in the Arndale Centre in Headingley with the Bowling Alley (which I did go in) I remember Terry's on Woodhouse Lane. Has anyone mentioned Valentino's. I'm quite sure it was where The Bond pub was.
Sit thissen dahn an' tell us abaht it.

Scrumpies or Adam amd Eves, toilets ankle deep in pee, draught beer that tasted like it had come straight from the toilet floor, Holsten Pils for the girlies and gallons of Newki Brown for the real men! Those were the days, lost its way for me once it moved to Martines - too posh, lights in the dance floor and a carpet that didn't stick to your shoes, door men getting nasty cause you had bottles on the dance floor, used to go to Bradford, last train back and down to there, the last time I went, th place had been on fire or something - spat with the blue angels or so we were led to believe

Does anyone remember a cafe on Albion Street called The Magic Box? When I was about 12 I used to go there with my mates. We never could figure out how the food was cooked by just putting it in a cupboard and inserting a key. I realised later of course that it was a Microwave Oven. Cheers. P.S. Does anyone have any Photos of the Rollarena?BOPPER.

At that time I was more of the Motley Crue brigade, remember, those of dyed black or bleach blond hair, spiked up like a dogs dinner! When I first started going down there, they still used to have what I thought of as proper bouncers, humongous black guys, dressed in the penguin suits who looked like they could snap you in half as soon as look at you - not suprisingly very little trouble then!Once you got to know them they were all great lads. Also some of the live groups that played down there - I appeared as a dodgy bass guitarist in a few of them. Great days - If I knew than what I know now etc etcMemories of getting very drunk then to the nastiest kebab shop you could find for a large donner with extra chilli. Any other day you'd cross the road to avoid them but ot 3 on a sunday morning they were heaven. Maybe we should have a lost Kebab shop thread!!!

Any other day you'd cross the road to avoid them but ot 3 on a sunday morning they were heaven. Maybe we should have a lost Kebab shop thread!!!     Ooh, happy days! For us it was a curry at a slightly dodgy place down on Kirkgate or thereabouts (I think it was called Drifters) and/or the late bus back to Roundhay via everywhere else in north Leeds, or that's what it felt like anyway. The bus was usually full of people who'd been at Scrumpies too, so it just felt like an extension of the evening sometimes. At the time I was living with a bloke who was a secondhand record dealer, so we often had to get up early the next day to go to record fairs - dunno how we managed it with not enough sleep, hangovers and the after-effects of curry - I certainly couldn't cope with that now.
