I like the top room in the Angel, it's got a Victorian Parlour atmsphere to it. Years ago I used to go for a coupe of IPA's in Whitelocks with a feed of meat and tatie pie. Like sleeping pills it was, pecking corn by 3pm.
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

Yeah, I like the upstairs in the Angel too, but it tends to get very hot up there for some reason. My preference is for "older" style pubs, but I'll talk to all ages, old and young.

There are only 10 types of people in the world -those who understand binary, and those that don't.

If certain bars are being so selective perhaps they should have a re-think on who they DO let in! A group of women of a mixed age group are far less likely to cause any hassle than a load of half dressed (and many really shouldn't be) loud and lairy teenagers and will probably spend more to boot. When I go out with the girls from work we quite often go into town, our ages range from 22 to 50 with 30's and 40's in between and there usually seems to be a good mix of ages in the bars I've been in. After reading the article in the EP I now realise that as I turned 50 this year I'm 15 years past my sell by date and maybe shouldn't be out enjoying myself ,well not in the Courtyard anyway!
