Tetley's To Close?

When I was a lad, I drank mild (Tetley's, of course,) not only because you could sink more of it (cheaper and weaker,) but also because it tasted like nectar. I've drunk bitter since, and I find it is getting more variable. I lived in London for about eight years, and when I returned to Leeds (in 1988,) Tetley's wasn't the same, IMO. It may be the rose-tinted beer goggles, though...

Hoping to try Leeds bestafter the Remembrance parade on Sunday, in Mr.Foley's 'PearlAssurance' annexe! I think one or two S/Leedsers might be there!Hope so.

My grandad used to work at Tetley's in the Mash Room there - many years ago.

I got a Leeds Brewery pint pot from there, too.     I feel a drive to Otley coming on,of course that will be to take the little un to the river..........naturally. Did you get to Otley, Chris?
