Phil, it would be great if you could set us City Centre workers some lunchtime trails of interest. I'm fascinated by your adventures and your Flickr site is spectactular. After strolling around Leeds City centre for the best part of 20 years on a lunchtime and have probably forgotten the changes I've witnessed.
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

Funny you said that Reg. I took the newest member of the Leeds gentlemans exploration society on a whistle stop railway heritage tour of the city center yesterday. Basher is a lucky chap he's the only fella we've let join us yet..How exclusive is that?
Yeah sounds like a good idea to me if anyone fancies getting involved.

How about for starters somebody tracking down this padstone... It's within half a mile radius of city square. It shouldn't be to difficult to find.. The clues are there

Why don't you find out where all the gas lamps still exist in the city centre (they do you know!) and have an evening gas lamp spotting walk? I know there are some in the Park Square area and in some of the yards off The Headrow (there are some where Big Lils used to be). This was something I always meant to do (blimey I sound like a bit of a nerd!) but now live 'darn sarf' so can't (

Deffinately don't be afraid to sound like a nerd Exiled.. I have no problem telling people i like trains, I photograph old signs & go down dirty old tunnels. If that makes me a nerd then i'm happy with that.. Anybody who knows me can vouch i'm anything but.. I think it's great when people have some interest about where they live... Great idea too... Should we start a new thread.. Gas lamp spotting competition here???
