A wild guess that the sewage works were at Knostrop and a look at Live Search Maps showed that the building in No 8 still exists, on Knowsthorpe Lane!I think this probably also solves Nos 7, 10 and 11 (the structure in No 11 can be seen in the background of No 8 ).

Just one reservation though - the smoooth road in the foreground looks rather too level for Wade Lane, but there has been massive rebuilding in the area, so who knows ??

Number one kind of looks like the railway bridge on Elland Road with Cottingley Towers in the background, don't think it is though.
