Drapesy - you might be able to help with identifying this photo. It's from another board. Pub in Hunslet. http://www.yorkshireindexers.co.uk/foru ... .php?t=665

Hi Geordie-Ex and Drapesy.I'm sure this photo was shown a few months agoin the then 'Yorkshire Diary' (Saturday Pages),before thenew Fella took over. From the medals on display andthe standard at the front I think it was a BritishLegion outing(Not RBL in those days!)The Pub, I believe, was down Hunslet way.It was John Thorpe's column but he retired last yearso mebbe the YEP archives might throw some lighton the subject? Can't remember much more, sorry!Sorry abt your hard drive Drapesy! I think it pays to back upall your important stuff, but I can't lecture anyone! cheers.Arry

If its not this is there a Parkfield listed in Hunslet or a Bankfield.Just a thought.

Not being a naval person, but isn't that the red ensign used on ships. Couldn't the pub, or the regulars have a naval connection? If the RBL is involved then it may narrow it down a bit? Just a thought.
