Terry's All Time was roughly where the Leeds Met Uni Business School is now, near Queen Square. I think the All Night might have been on Wellington Street, near what used to be the Central Station pub. yep, terrys all-night cafe was on wellington street. It was just after the sally army, the bloke who owned it(Terry)used to drive for Knightrider taxis.

David Raven wrote: My fave cafe in Leeds (late 1980s) used to be up a side street, between the Schofield's Centre and Albion Street, by 'Beatties' the model shop. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called now...It had a really cheesey sign inside that said '*cafe name*...a good place for good people'! Edit: Just remembered! It was called 'Aroma' Coffe House. (I think!) It was! as a teenager in the early 90s it was my favourite place to sit and while the days away - I would probably only visit once or twice a month and the man would always remember that I drank lemon tea! I loved it, great place to meet your mates or read a book whilst smoking menthol cigs and pretending you were in New York...and you could get a chip butty for £1 that fed three of you. That sign was fantastic, and I used to love the inflatable cigarette that marked the (smoke filled) non-smoking area - if I'd realised it was closing I would have made an offer for both of those. It turned into some sort of Chinese I think and now seems to have been swallowed by some "luxury apartments".

Not a greasy spoon I know, but have just remembered the Farmhouse Kitchen, in the basement of what was originally Boots on Briggate. When it first opened it seemed so posh - salads in big dishes and healthy sized cakes! You could always get a table as well because it was so big. Again no greasy spoon but does anyone else remember Ceylon Tea Centre doing a salad of diced pickled beetroot in raspberry jelly? Sounds weird, but it was it was delicious! Also the Four Cousins did the best baked lemon cheesecake ever!

"what was the one on eastgate called, near peter maturi's? was it a number, like the '35 coffee bar' or summat?" I've only just joined, so the answer to this question has probably been posted before. Sorry for that but, just in case it hasn't, it was The Number 18. I know, because my bus home left from just outside it.Here's another one. Does anyone else remember the Del Rio up Lower Basinghall Street? It must be under British Home Stores now, I think.
