That phsycologist fella used to think he was a fake and was cheating on these places he was going on and looking up the history before he went there. So he started leaving bits of information about on notes were old Derek would find them. He left this name of this supposed ghost that haunted the place, 'RIK EEDLES' so good old derek started carryng on about this RIK was possesing him when actual fact RIK Eedles is an anagram of Derek lies. Also another one was Kreed Kaffer (Derek Faker) They both got the sack then when it was in the paper. Ha            phill,i wish you would tell my kids mate..i have been telling them he was a fake since day one..my mum went to see him at the city varieties when she was alive.now mum was gullable at times, but she saw straight through him. i do believe, induced by potent circumstances, that thou art' mine enemy? just thought i'd let you all aware of this.i enjoy watching derek acorah ( for the amusement and entertainment ) and thought he was a bit over the top with things. but i went to see him at the grand theatre two weeks ago with family and friends and i couldnt believe it when he had a message for me from my husbands nan. the things he said to me was so real and he couldnt find out about any of it, at all. he even got to the point of my sons serious allergy's. it was amazing i wont disbelieve him again - i might think he over does things and makes some stuff up but not for what he said to me and my friends and family that were there. we also had a photo's with him at the end and i have light anomolties (sp!) in the pics. also the thing with the paper and the pyscologist and derek been sacked is false Cieran O'Keefe is still on the show .

When I was a teenager in 1970, myself and 4 friends helped a Showman pack up the fairground at Roundhay park one saturday night. As we walked past the old lakeside cafe a figure dressed in Levi's jacket and jeans came along the path towards us from the Street lane end, just where the path slope is, it brushed past me, then passed through my mate who stopped to take a pee, then it carried on to the lake and dissappeared. We seem to think that a couple of years earlier an unfortunate guy drowned whilst swimming out to a boat on the lake, this was the Mods and rockers era, when they used to meet up at the park on a sunday afternoon, as i recall it was the Mods gang the BG, the 'faces'of the time, that the poor guy hung out with. Used to take my youngster there when he was small, by then a permanent fairground was there. Asked the showmen if they saw anything at night, but they had not. Anybody any knowledge of this siting?

There are only 10 types of people in the world -those who understand binary, and those that don't.

Hi all,New to this site and loving it!I have a ghost sighting near my parent's home in Horsforth. Was about seven years ago now, was walking home one night with my older brother down from Rawdon on the A65 and up onto Hall Lane. There's a narrow pathway that goes up behind an oldish manor house (it's located on Grange Drive just off Hall Lane). As we walked passed my brother needed to relieve himself (we'd been to the pub) so nipped up the path for a quick...well you know!I waited for him at the end of the path and was slightly surprised when he said "Thom, come and look at this..." After telling him I didn't want to see it he said "no, it's not what you're thinking and you're not gonna believe it!" I walked up the path to my brother and my blood ran cold, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I must admit I was bricking it...About 50 yards up the path there was a figure, although not like a person stood...was more like a smoke but holding it's shape, and was clearly a figure of some sort. It was hovering about 6 inches from the ground and was giving off a very cold light. It wasn't glowing as such and the light wasn't 'lighting' the surrounding area, it more just lighting the figure itself. We stood and watched it for about 30 seconds at which point my brother wanted to get closer to it - there was NO chance I would get any closer so we went home. To this day I've not been back down that path and will never do so again, the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life.

stodge. wrote: hi, when i was about 3 (1975) i used to stay with my nan during the day,she lived in meanwood off stonegate road, down the side of Kirby's chippy. In the afternoon i used to get taken upstairs into the spare room for a story before my kip. One such afternoon, whilst in the middle of the story, my nan says i just started laughing looking over her shoulder into the corner of the room. When she asked what i was laughing at i described a funny looking man with a pointy hat with 3 corners, she told me not to worry and read the rest of the story. I found out later that this room used to be my aunty's bedroom and shed also seen the same figure and described it as a highway man.I was a bit too young to remember that sighting, but i definitely saw the same figure when i was 5. I was playing on the stairs, near the bottom, when i leaned backwards and looked up the stairwell. As i was looking up the same shadowy figure, looked over the banister and straight at me, and just stayed there looking. That really put the frighteners up me, and just ran into the room ,i never stayed there again. My nan, always one for the dramatic, told me that it was Dick Turpin, and he'd stopped somewhere round abouts on his way to York, this was purely to sweeten me up. Even at 5 though i remember trying to do the geography and figured it didn't add up. Wow Freaky! It could have been a Highway but it DEFINATELY was not Dick Turpin. He was just a myth created to scare people. York Dungeon's tells the story as a myth. But when you acctually go inside York Castle, it tells you there he never even existed.
