Hi weeni been thinking about your problem Lets start from the beginning . The clapper hits the bell this causes it to resonate thus makeing a sound . This sound is affected in many ways eg lay of the land temperature wind if its warm then the sound will lift higher. If its cold the sound will be lower the wind will deaden the sound . It could be affected by spurious emissions are you still with me so far?Now what you need to do is pick a cool night with no wind so keep off the curry. It might be handy to have a funnel this will give more idea of the direction when you hear the sound put the funnel to your ear and turn round slowly at its loudest thats the direction with funnel in ear walk to the sauce i dont mean heinze .By the way you may get a few funny looks but dont worry you can expect this you dont get many people at that time of night walking aboutwith a funnel in there ear.Well good luck with your quest i hope this is of help to you. ps It sounds as though i dont know what im talking about does mean it may become an mp?

If it is Westminster chimes a clock will chime every 15 mins with increasing frequency15 1 Chime30 2 Chime45 3 chime60 4 chime plus striking the hourI used to mess with old 1930's clocks and just to add a piece of family history my father, called Samson, was married in that church in Armley in the early1930's.Now I have mentioned it, there will be loads of people counting chimes and unable to sleep LOL Have a good night those of you in Armley!! LOL
