Lots of new information added -please have another look through at page 1 if you're intersted![Wiggy - if you read this I would be grateful if you would edit out your reference to the 'Green Parrot' My mistake in identification caused me to confuse it with the 'Grove Tavern'. I have now amended this and so that renders your comment meaningless. thanks]

A pic I found on Leodis taken from Call Lane. the Tetley sign at the far right is for the 'Mason's Arms and shows how much the pub extended round the corner - it was a big pub - unusually so for the city centre.

I really enjoy this continually updated thread. Any plans to cover Briggate next? How about combining them and publishing an illustrated coffee-table book - Pubs of Leeds by Drapesy?
