Was that Bill Richardson one of the notorious Richardson bro's who were involved in the fracas at The Trotters pub on York Road? Also didn't he have The Kings Arms on Meanwood Road?

Again as a born and bred Morlean, and Morley being part of Leeds I come back to Morley's famous sons (and a daughter) Sir Titus Salt - founder of Saltaire was born at the Manor House Morley, and of course the Liberal Prime Minister H H Asquith was also born in Morley. How many towns can boast a PM - how many in total can there have been? After all including the present one there's only been 18 since Asquith. Then of course there's the famous daughter, cycling champ Beryl Burton.

Bill Richardson competed in the Arm Wrestling competition on YTVsIndoor League. He had intended to compete right handed but all the places were taken so he competed left handed-and won!I believe he was a bouncer at the Three Legs or The Vine in the '70s.

Am I the only one who remembers Paul and Barry Ryan? They were born in Leeds, identical twin sons of Marion Ryan a famous singer in the fifties, also born in Leeds.I went to Queens Road Primary School from 1953 and they were in my class. They were Paul and Barry Sapherson then. I remember the day that their mum visited the school, you'd have thought that royalty was visiting with the way the teachers fussed. They left and moved on to Fulneck when I was about nine. They had a mixed singing career, they split as a duo in 1967; Paul moved into writing and producing, Barry carried on singing. The most famous number was 'Eloise' a monster production written by Paul and sung by Barry. Paul died of cancer in 1992. Barry has since made a name for himself as a photographer.

TV series "Edge of Darkness" starred Bob Peck, a son of Leeds. He also appeared in "Jurassic Park". Sadly he died in the late 1990's.
