Just wondering how some of the earlier postingson this thread have been re-inserted and re-dated????Has Disco been having a re-shuffle? Thought I'd clicked on the wrong page number!!!'Nuther one from childhood; "Stop 'Fratching' you two"meaning to quarrel.

It's a shame about the dialect dying out,and yes it would be nice to resurrect it,the only problem is with so many jobs being in Call centres, Media,Sales and Marketing etc, Kids have to talk reet proper England now!!

Do you actually have Call Centres there in Leeds? If I contact a Call Centre here from Sydney, I end up talking to someone in Mumbai or Bangalore. No Leeds accents there.

Still in the grip of a drought despite 14 straight days of rain .. titter ye not ... mortgages, food prices through the roof, a collapsing health, transport & education system ... sound familiar???
