You must have missed it on Leodis quite a few pics. The pub was demolished for road widening in 1972. http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... 523_163677

My first taste of beer was when I wentwith my father to visit my grandmother. She would give him a jug and we would go down the street, around the cornerto the Lloyds Arms off Kirkstall Road.He would leave me outside[not these days]and re appear some time later withthe jug full of beer.I think I may havebeen about 7 or 8 years old 1956/7.

I have noticed the building that replacedthe King Charles pub on Lands Laneis now being demolished, why on earthdid they decide to close and tear downthat historic pub.I think I may be wrong but was it amistake? by the council or something to do with a preservation order that went wrong.Anybody know the answer?

in oulton there is a street off Holmsley Lane callled 'Needless Inn Lane' - just wondered if anyone knows if there ever was a 'needless inn' around there? I know there's one in Morley; that's the only result I get through Googgle, no luck on Leodis either.

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.
