I remember the logo on the building was the same as the one in the photo, before it was changed to Whitbreads. I didn't think much of Trophy, either, but everyone seems to remember the ads! a scientist writes:the better the ads the crapper the beer no argument here....adnams have spaired no expense on their ads,and the product is absolutely,100%,fantastical tasting ditch water!
i do believe, induced by potent circumstances, that thou art' mine enemy?

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

All this talk about good and bad ales has reminded me of a joke a cousin of mine told me about 50 years ago.Two breweries were always claiming that their brew was the best, but since both had their faithful fans, no conclusive decision was ever reached. Finally, they decided to submit themselves to an independent control and agreed that during one year they would prepare a special brew and then submit it to scientific analysis. After working hard on new secret brews for the year, on the appointed day each submitted its superbrew to the scientists. After a week of eating nails and constant mental anguish, they received the analyst's supreme verdict: "Neither of these two horses is fit for work"I imagine that none of my friends and acquaintances ever tried equine urine, but a vulgar synonymous phrase (sometimes also attributed to witches) was often used to qualify certain brews in certain puibs.
