Can anyone remember when the Kirkstall Lites opened?

I would guess it opened in the early '80s.Supposed to be a replacement for the(then) recently demolished Abbey and Sovereign,it was a Tetley house originally.Never one of my locals,so I've no idea when John Smiths took it on.
