Hi Thanks for your msg's... too answer them all...no i don't think i will bw going to the party even though it will mean i will miss the sausage rolls and sausages on sticks... boo hoo!!! i have other commitments thats night so sorry but it will mean you will all be kept in the dark as to who i am and what i look like, keep you guessing!!!Thanks for the msg about Thomas & Sons LTD very interesting... glad you liked the info

Sorry I've not been here long enough to know everyone around.I have just been outbid on a postcard of a park literally 30 yards from my house, would've been nice to give it to my neighbours who've lived even nearer for the last 50 years, and that went to £11, who knows what they were prepared to pay, some you win........

The second picture is not the gatehouse - stables maybe.The building was behind the hall and is still there and has not been knocked down.The gatehouse is Asket Lodge - still there on north lane on the other side of the Wyke Beck. The bridge is in fancy stone and still there.Worth taking Piccy and having a look. How magnificent the hall and grounds look, go see the site today and it's amazing to think what was once sat on a (now) very ordinary valley side.....
