As an update.

Although the Court initially said that recordings were available it transpires that they are not. They also said that the Decree Nisi was not available, only the Decree Absolute was there. The Decree Absolute they sent was not much use (just basically the names of the parties and the Court Seal), but I did manage to get someone to go 'downstairs' and look. She found both the original Decrees and scanned copies over to me.

Whilst this didn't help identify the property in Cookridge it did show that what I believed had happened was not true..

As for the bungalow, I am quite sure that tyke bhoy found the location.

Thank you all for your input and help. The jigsaw is slowly beginning to take shape :-)
