name of pub

could anyone tell me what the name of a pub on north street was called that was around in 60,s and 70,s and which had great witty graffiti in the toilets. Was popular with students i think :

There was a pub called the White Stag on North Street not far from the Eagle Tavern. It was demolished several years back now (I think it was near where the Bagel Nash premises are). I wonder if that could perhaps be the pub name being questioned.

There was a pub on the left hand side of North st.I cant remember its name. could it have been a John Smiths house on a corner (maybe Lovell Road) this was in the 1950s)

Public houses on North Street were:-
Eagle Tavern
White Stag
Golden Lion
Smithfield Hotel
North Tavern
Hope Inn

The White Stag was more of a white elephant pub as had it had two shops at the front of it on North st and the side which was Stamford st. Behind it all the houses had been demolished. This was in the fifties and sixties.

I know the New Roscoe definitely isn't but while not far away I didn't think the original was on North Street either

The original Roscoe Pub was at the bottom of Chapeltown Road, number 29, opposite the Post Office.
