Big N there isn't a PM facility. Nope not on the job just know someone who's son is. I am a regular passenger on the 110 and X41 though.Si it might only recently have transfrerred to the UK but Bud have been trumpeting the "born on" message in the US for at least 15 years. Agree fully that real ale bitter and mild don't fit in with the image of the clientele most pub chains are trying to attract.

Like Drapesy says, they don't build a brand on a quality product anymore. It's built on skewed market research and "focus groups" where a marketing "idea" is blown up out of all proportion. And I speak as someone who worked in advertising for twelve years! When's the last time you went into a pub and specifically asked for a "fresh" pint? It's all cobblers.

Yes another American 'brand' - Coors is doing this 'fresh' rubbish. Anyone who knows anything about brewing will tell you its pure nonsense. The word 'Lager' even means, literally, 'Stored' - i.e the opposite of 'Fresh'!Another one that always gets me is 'Smooth' beer! What were you expecting - 'Lumpy' ??????

Precisely. Lager traditionally is cold stored for up to six months! I think Budweiser have got it down to a matter of days.They'll be selling us "fresh" vintage port next!As for "smooth," this is truly bizarre. They produce a tinned beer with a widget so it tastes like an approximation of hand-pulled, and then put it on draught, so you can have a pint in the pub that tastes like a tinned beer you can drink at home that tastes a bit like hand-pulled!!!?Welcome to the whacky world of marketing.

It must be me, but I really do like Budweiser.. People bang on about Stella this and whateverr that, but imho, it's all subjective and persoanl taste! I really do like Bud I have found it to be the most refreshing lager I've tasted. As a bitter drinker (bitter as in ale, not state of mind ) I always prefer the taste of a good quality biter / ale. however, whenever lager drinking is called for, I'd always plump for a good "fresh" "clean" Bud..

I drink lager occasionally, too, but only the bottled variety, such as Urquell or REAL Budweiser! Still prefer a good hand-pulled bitter or mild, if I can find it.
