The Haddon Hall had Imperial on many years ago. You're quite right it's popular in the North-East but I was never all that keen.I remember when the Duck'n'Drake had Owd Rodger, they kept another Marstons beer called Bulldog bitter but because of the 'Bulldog' association with the National Front it was changed to 'Bullion'.

It's all in Art Deco style and has been very imaginatively decorated. It's got all it's internal walls, a tap room, a snug, open fires, original steel window frames even the fixtures in the gents are in period. As an added bonus, it's a Sam Smith's pub so there's no telly, no jukebox and the beer is under two quid. Our lass lived opposite the new inn for a year, what an effort it was to have to cross the road, spend all night in there and then walk(i think) back over the road at closing time.15 yards from a bottle of Old Brewery pale ale whenever i stopped over, magic!!

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

We got 30 mins dinner and would bomb in have a chip butty and 3 or 4 pints and spend the afternoon wobbling about trying to work. Makes me wonder how the boss put up with it. Good boozer, a fella called Bob had it when we were there.
