Offshore property ownership in Leeds.

Post by rikj »

A map produced by Private Eye using Land Registry data showing freehold and leasehold land owned by offshore companies.

Zoom in to whichever part of Leeds interests you then you can see which bits are owned by offshore companies, thereby possibly avoiding various UK taxes.

Unsurprisingly there are many parts of the centre owned offshore. Interestingly there are shopping centres and pubs sounding quite British, that are ultimately owned abroad.

Posted here because it shows something that is normally not visible about our city, that has been shown. So I think it counts as secret Leeds.

Thanks for that rikj :). There is lots of interesting information about the centre of Leeds and also in the suburbs.

That is interesting. No more fuel from the Shell station for me.
The older I get, the better I was.
