Betjeman versus Beeching!Slightly off topic because it's not Leeds, but it's still John Betjeman and films. There are some old railway transport films by him on youtube herehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDrQkg8lOGc&feature=relatedThey are worth watching if you like a nice steady stroll down memory lane to a better era on the railways. His predictions about us wishing we had retained our branch lines in a few years time are so prophetic. It seems Betjeman was far wiser, and had greater foresight than Beeching could ever hope for. How right he was!
My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!
