These are 3 photos (reduced in file size and thus quality) that I took on April 9 2015 of the work going on for the new building behind the old (but now almost fully renovated) premises on North Street. The beck has now been culverted (the building plan states there should be a short bit left uncovered to the rear but I was unable to get near enough to see if that has happened). The first photo shows a view that will presumably soon be hidden of the high-rise flats to the rear.

These are two photos of the site that I took today (June 1 2015). Erection of the metal framework has recently started.

Construction at the site is rapidly progressing. These are 3 photos that I took on June 11 2015. There is little (if anything) left now to show that the site was occupied by Balmforth's tannery until that was demolished many years back. Even Sheepscar Beck has now been culverted and will be hidden under the new building (I understand that a small opening will be left to allow access for such as bats).

These are 3 photos that I took at the site on July 30 2015. Work building the Magnet kitchens centre is well on. It's good to see that the site is being developed as I was surprised that the whole island site has never been cleared and either redeveloped or become a new road complex.

General view from North Street of the area on a wet July 30 2015. Hopefully the mechanisms at the 3 long stopped Potts Clocks at the old bank may one day be refitted and working again!
