Re: Leeds Station southern entrance plans approved
This is a photo that I took today (April 9 2015) at 12:04 p.m. I was hoping that the beam attached to the wire would be lifted up, but it was not during the few minutes that I was there.

Thanks, I ought to go and have a look myself but I appreciate the updates -- especially from Leo' with photographs of the progress.

With such a lot of grid now it is coming ever harder to spot anything new. The first photo (which I took on April 16 2015) does though give an idea of the curving front. Note also the van on the foot/road bridge over the River Aire under the Dark Arches, but public access on the bridge has long now sadly been limited to a narrow path that has security boardings that stop any good view of the work and also stops the taking of photos from inside the Dark Arches. The second photo (taken April 16 2015) shows lots of material presumably waiting to be used in the framework.

I took these 2 photos on April 23 2015. The first shows a general view of the site and also shows work going on for the flood defence work by Hol Beck near Victoria Bridge and also some of the varied buildings in the area. The second is a zoomed-in view of the LSSE grid, which looks to me a lot like a giant robots head! I'm unsure what the buildings are in the rear but the many glass windows one might be Whitehall Quay (or not!).

Since I was at the LSSE site on April 23 2015 a short metal footbridge has been built on the left (when looking towards the LSSE structure). I call it a footbridge because as far as I could tell it does not look strong enough nor wide enough to take heavy equipment (access to it is gated and locked). I assume it has been built to allow LSSE workers direct access from that side. I took these 2 photos on April 30 2015. The first is a wide-field view that shows the new footbridge on the left and the second is a close-in view of it.
Edit added May 3 2015. Looking at the LSSE webcam http://www.wymetro.com/lsse/webcam/ there is a similar looking short metal footbridge on the right that must have also been installed very recently. I wonder therefore if the 2 footbridges are the foundation structures for the access/egress to/from the LSSE seen in artist's illustrations of the final structure?

The 'roof' has recently begun to be seen. These are 2 zoomed-in photos that I took on June 18 2015. The 'roof' is not seen when close by, so I took the photos from a bit downriver and zoomed-in.
