Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Re: Solar Eclipse
It was a shame that it was cloudy (though not unexpected!). The only 'good' view I saw was at about 9:30 when through some very thin cloud just then I saw a thin crescent Sun stretching from about 5 to 8 o'clock and some of the eclipsed Sun above. It was just a fleeting moment.
It's good buffaloskinner and Brunel that you were able to capture a moment in time.

Re: Solar Eclipse
Wow, what a surprise to see that the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) has made an error!
.
In a report on page 8 of the YEP today (March 20 2015) it states "A near-total eclipse of the sun is set to thrill or disappoint millions tomorrow, depending on luck and the fickle British weather...". To be fair to the YEP in a separate report on page 25 it does refer to the eclipse occurring "today".
PS. I don't know if 'sun' is the correct usage here but I thought it should be 'Sun' in the context it is being used.
PPS. That's a good photo of the event cnosni to add to those taken by buffaloskinner and Brunel.

Re: Solar Eclipse
To be fair when the copy was written it probably was still "tomorrow". Alternatively it may have been submitted on Wednesday for inclusion on Thursday and an editor decided to spike it for 24 hours due to lack of spaceLeodian wrote:Wow, what a surprise to see that the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) has made an error!.

Re: Solar Eclipse
We should have a Council Tax rebate in the Queenswood Drive area - the only trace of any eclipse was a few minutes' reduction of about one watt in the overcast daylight
Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time !!

There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
