Diamond lights

Post by Cardiarms »

New floodlights for some form of evening cricket being hauled into place. Apologies for the bad snap. They should be visible for miles.

I was wondering what Chris Waddle and Glen Hoddle had to do with Leeds ;) .

To be fair I think permanent lights are now an ECCB requirement for consideration as an ODI venue. Also the lights will be pretty much focused in a downward direction with minimal escape. Agreed though that they will be visible from most of south Leeds, across the Aire valley from Farsley through Bramley, Armley, Wortley Beeston and Miggy. Also from along the A650 ridge Tingley, Morley, Gildersom and Drigh

As there seems to be two of them I guess they will work on the principle that a double diamond works wonder. :)

You may need to be getting on a bit to know what I'm talking about! ;)
