It seems to me that the tram is at the bottom of Gipton Approach and is about to start the climb back up to York Road to rejoin the tramlines there. I can just remember the trams going up and down Gipton Approach.

Also its before they filled in and flattened out the cornfields which were there, now its prone to flooding every once in a while
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?
