IT ALSO APPEARS THAT NOTHING I ALTER IN CONTROL PANEL WORKS POSTS PER PAGE PREFERENCES ETC

Is it a browser thing I ask myself but then I don't have any problems on other forums using this software??
If you are using chrome then its not a browser issue. If you are using IE then it probably is  ;) . I've change a number of settings and the only one that hasn't "stuck" is the theme  . I can't have dark red or silver. It was more an out of interest thing anyway so if it is something that has prevented the default been overridden I'm not too bothered.

PS I just got offered the option to review my submission, after hitting submit, as another post has been made while I was constructing it. While I see Tabbycat has a solution I'll leave it save to say everything after the PS is the revision. A very cool feature though

Now Edited to remove the bits of Tabbycats deleted post that aren't needed for relevance.

Agreed tyke bhoy I use this software on a number of forums and have to say it's very slick and easy to use. Like yourself though I cant alter the theme or anything in global settings but that may be a locked feature at the moment, either way much better than the old site and yes the review function is nice twist to prevent cross posting plus the post editing is one of the best /fastest parts of this software five edits on this post alone  :D

Hi TABBYCAT The problem i see with using my original name is that a lot of the members will not know who i am.I have posted has Tilly for a few years now what do you think?

Glad to hear the core functions of the new software are working well for you guys - that review post to prevent cross posts is handy, hadnt spotted that before. I haven't completed the work on the other themes yet, will roll those out in due course.

Sorry I keep posting from two different accounts, must stop that! I've just tested out updating my password via the User Control Panel with a test account and it works fine. You need to enter your old password at the bottom for the change to take though, guess that might be causing some confusion? Anyway it wouldn't let me log back in with my old password afterwards so all seems to be working as expected. If anyone is having ongoing problems please email ask@tyrell.mobi.

In my case Sid I've gone back to my original forum moniker for a fresh start with the new site.
