Here are some examples of the brickwork in mind for Victoriagate, i think you would have to agree they are so much better than what appears in the various digital rendershttp://www.ketley-brick.co.uk/Victoria_Gate_Ar ... Leeds.html

Link to some renders, not sure if have posted beforehttp://www.victoriagate.co.uk/about/gallery/I welcome the development, but if only we could see the same sort of investment by maufacturing companies, we cant just base our economy on the service industry alone.

The site webcam is normally off on Saturdays and Sundays, so it must have been kept on for the event.

Yes it wasnt an exciting month, made all the more unbearable by the Planet Rock radio station designating June as "Led Zeppelin Month", that was torture

I've been thinking for some time now about what would happen to that area as it does look run-down (particularly the scruffy but little noticed passage behind the row of shops on George Street and the rear of premises in the market). Assuming that the development goes ahead I wonder what will happen to the old plaque that is on the side of the market there (see this SL thread:- http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... eadID=4478). I hope the plaque will be removed and either replaced in a more prominent place or at least stored safely. It will be a shame if it is simply becomes hidden or even worse if it is scrapped/accidently destroyed.

George street will be turned into a canyon which will be odd after years of undeveloped open space.
