I haven't been in the Adephi for a few years now.The conversion into a bar from a pub put me off ,although the beer range was good.I hope the revamp has gone back to a more traditional idea.the modern bar type furniture always jarred with the architecture for me.Adelphi is a good idea though with the advantage of nearby parking for people coming from a distance.

Last time I was in the Adelphi was in the mid 90s for a Socialist Worker pre-demo meeting before piling onto coaches for the Kill the Bill Anti-Criminal Justice Bill protest. I met David Icke of all people that day and had a nice chat with him, ended up prancing round in the fountains in Trafalgar Square where I met a bloke and his missus I'd met on holiday in Ibiza the year before who invited me and my (then) girlfriend back to stay at theirs after drinking copious amounts of cocktails round Soho. Good times!

The refurb has definitely been carried out and the pub reopened. (A friend went in a few weeks ago) I can't say if it suitable for our requirements, so look forward to hearing from the next visitor.
