Horse and jockey ... Bramley ?

So ive been scouring an old map as i do and ive found on leeds and brad rd theres an old pub called the horse and jockey inn but this contradicts what leodis says about the bridge pub which isnt even close refs are here...What leodis has to sayhttp://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?resourceIde ... 8568057and the map showing the horse and jockey (im guessing its where eric street is today)http://maps.nls.uk/view/102344911Any help greatly appreciated

I could be wrong here but im hoping i have got lucky and im not.If you check the location of The Horse and Jockey on the maps from the 1840's to the 1940's. The shape, (assumoing im looking in the right place) seems to have changed from the 1851 published map to the 1895 published map but then it remains the same until the 1940's.The attached picture is i think that building which is no longer there.28th Febraury 1955. Shows number 408 on the north side of Leeds and Bradford Road. The stone built house is surrounded by a wall. Snow covers the ground. Eric Street can be seen in the background

That looks like what is now the Falls Cafe at the top end of Bramley Falls Park which from memory is an end of terrace but could have been a pub.

I think it is a different building long since demolished in the 50's or 60's maybe.I think it used to stand were the bus stop is now.
