Thanks Jim enough said!!@cnosniChris I take on board what you've said and whilst we may disagree on some points I agree on the following..."I would therefore hope that you would join in more with any recollections/debate etc that are relevant to a particular thread or by the means of starting a new.Ive had to take a few on the chin and you sound like you could too, so get stuck in and hang the consequences."You seem to care deeply about the forum and it would be nitpicking/churlish of me to argue further so as they say in Australia "Fair go mate"Regards.Kango.

Certainly no argument, merely a healthy discussion on how different people see things differently.Thats the trouble with communicating on the internet Kango, you cant see the other persons expressions/ tone of voice.I have certainly taken onboard your comments, comments that i have asked for and i have absolutely no issues with what you say.So i would encourage you to and anyone else to air their views, the idea is to get as many people participating in the site.Phil has suggested that its the ease, or non ease of use, that is a barrier and some have said its a reticence, a fear of being shot down so to speak. The issue that Phil mentions isnt something that we, the contributors, can't address. That is a matter for Duncan. However we contributors CAN do something to encourage lurkers and new members to participate, and if that means taht we need to look at ourselves and perhaps we could be more welcoming then i dont see a problem of being more welcoming. After all, if a particular subject/thread doesnt interest you (as it occasionally happens with me) then we dont have to participate, leave it to those who are interested. One word of caution though, that doesnt mean we should be having threads about the infamous "Chapped Legs" and the like

Cheers. As a side note as you know I think it's only fair and playing cricket to set the record straight.Regarding the post you mention it said for the 'guys n gals' contributing to the topic to play nicely and not specifically csnosi. I actually agreed with cnosi's view point on that rare occasion. But seen as the debate went quiet I never got round to saying my piece It was the only passionate debate in 2 years in the group, the only time I felt as if the discussion might get out of hand, and the only time ever I had I had to put the group admins 'finger pointing glove' on and say 'Now now lets all play nicely please' I'm glad to say it worked immediately.I wish the same ethic of nipping trouble in the bud before it gets well out of hand, and drags on had been employed on this forum in the past. If we could have some way of dealing with this on any new look S.L. The ability to report posts perhaps, and mods not feeling afraid to keep the site in order. We had an instance not so long ago where a mod asked a totally reasonable polite request. This was met with total ignorance and disrespect of it - this then resulted in an argument and debate why the request should be ignored. It has put many mods off trying to run the site in the past, and the few remaining ones are very reluctant to try. Thanks for the update once again anyway

Yes Leo you would have to be a member of Facebook, but like this site you wouldn't have to give your real name. You could join with any name Thanks for that clarification Mick, which is appreciated. As I have no intention of joining Facebook nor other social network sites (nor any image hosting websites) then sadly it will be goodbye from me when the present SL site ends. Sorry - just to be clear, this is absolutely not the case - at no point now or in the future will you have to be a member of Facebook in order to use SecretLeeds.
Contact me via ask@tyrell.mobi if you have any questions or comments about the site.

Be sure Phil, some of us still do - but not always in ways that are visible to everyone - good to know you still appreciate the agro mods can get even when being uber proper and polite (and it would be hypocritical not to be )

I thought Leo was referring to SL2 on FB. As it used to say on my school reports "this boy should pay more attention"
