Leeds Comedians

Read in my paper about the death of Graham Walker. I've seen The Grumbleweeds many times over the years and I thought they were so talented. Graham and the boys were also excellent musicians/singers but, of course, it's for their comedy that they will be especially remembered.R.I.P.

My dad worked at Yorkshire Switchgear in Meanwood and I remember him saying that someone from the Grumbleweeds worked there too. My memory is shocking, maybe more than one Grumbleweed worked there?

When I lived in Yeadon, he drank in the New Inn on Cemetery Road, which was my local. Lovely chap, always good for a chat or a tale. One Christmas they were in panto in Blackpool and he managed to get back for last orders (the pub closed at midnight) every night. RIP.

Does anyone remember the singer comedian on Leeds Pubs and Clubs "Harry Bendon"

As for Leeds comedians perhaps the current Leeds United squad qualifies!
