I was aware of the approach made by Drapesy previous when i suggested we try and buy them as it was my understanding that the option of paying for them hadn't been discussed.if we can find out if the current owners will sell them, and at what price, (they are really a piece of architectural salvage, as we have never been able to establish their origins, so historically the only link is to the building they were placed on in the yard ,and by removing them from the site of the alleged story it devalues them!)It would be best if they could be restored to the site near to where they were by putting them in a pub, however, if we could buy them and the pub option fell through,it would make sense to donate them to Leeds Museum as an example of a Leeds folktale.
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!

Its true I didn't discuss payment- this would involve giving up ownership. What we were hoping to arrange then was that Dysons would retain ownership but entrust the skulls to Leeds museums [who were receptive to the plan] to look after and display- which seemed an attractive proposition to me.Dysons were sadly not interested and I think the idea of them giving up ownership is a nonstarter.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

[quotenick="cnosniYeah we have been there, lets let sleeping dogs lie but if Dysons aren't going to use the building it is worth asking them if they would consider selling chris surely, any price would presumably also reflect the cost of removing them from the building and making good the area as well.If the building is sold did Dyson's propose to remove them again or are they classed as part of the furnishings in which case ownership would pass to anyone who owned the freehold of the building anyway.

News cover and a permanent plaque or similar giving them credit would be certainly be of value to any business. As I said in my post above any attempt to apply logic, reason or being a good citizen was met with a brick wall of flat refusal. Your welcome to try of course, but don't get your hopes up!

Drapesy went down that road and back Steve, they cant seem to see the sense that you are talking.
