Here's a photo of an unknown area in Leeds that would make a good guess where!I don't know the answer myself yet - so don't look at me for clues

Shucks Phill if you don't know where it is then possibly the rest of us won't know either! No doubt the clues are there! Many of the houses seem to have boarded windows and one area is already clear so perhaps the area is being cleared under the slum clearances of the 1950s/1960s (?). As the roofs next to each house gets higher but the houses stay the same size then it looks like it was (presumably still is) a steep area. There seems to be a long building along much of the top left so (tentatively) perhaps a school. If I knew the car then that should give an idea of the date. At least there is an offie (off-licence) with a Tetley sign. So my guess is....absolutely no idea! Possibly the Burmantofts or nearby areas that had major clearances? Nice one Phill. I look forward to finding where it was so finding what is there now.

And in this case the photo is an ''orphaned works'' with no such information or descriptive text added to the original Facebook post....

On a lighter note facebook is pretty bad for photo theft and copyright infringement. One guy who ran a local facebook group actually removed me from one of his groups so he could use my R.A.F photos without me knowing. Talk about an over reaction, he only had to ask me if it was ok and I'd have let him use them no problem. Instead he chose the childish way and still got found out lol

I think we need referenced sources/ comparisons to be 100% sure.

Have a look at this aerial view on Leodis:http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... 0580081The configuration of the streets seems to match if the picture was taken from one of the Carlton high rise blocks.
