Hmmmm, I'm concerned now. I logged my objection well before the deadline but have heard nothing back, not even an acknowledgement........

I emailed my objection in, but received nothing in acknowledgement.My email was as follows:I am writing to register my objection to Leeds Trolley Bus. This pointless scheme will see the demolition of important buildings, the unacceptable destruction of over 400 mature trees and an unforgiveable amount of public money wasted.The proposed benefits of this scheme are bogus and cannot be quantified. This nonsense must be stopped.I also included my name and postal address. Let's hope it is not brushed under the carpet!!

It would appear that our old syphilitic friend from Bradford has had a busy afternoon ! This relating to the online YEP story about businesses opposing folleybus.One intrepid contributor has noted the suspicious thumbs up(support) movements over the last couple of hours coupled with the notion that he has adopted several online aliases to further his cause ! How childish.Oh well,i think school's are back tomorrow.I too,notice the pattern.All the opposers to folleybus have mysteriously acquired multiple thumbs down for themselves in the space of a couple of hours....wheras he,or Stanleyking or whoever else he chooses to post as,has mysteriously and suddenly acquired quite a large fan base....Oh happy days !Anybody else noticed this rather dastardly activity ?

It is funny isn't it, how some comments draw a wealth of downward thumbs, even when the consensus of opinion appears to be with them? It's almost like someone and his chum(s) are sat there marking people down even though they can't think of any noteworthy response.

By "masking" one's online identity(e-mail address),it is quite possible to obtain multiple accounts on most forums(and by inference the ability to post under several guises) ..........apparently !

The move would effectively declassify the land, and would avoid the need for the council to carry out a compulsory purchase. However, campaigners say the appropriation plan is designed to pre-empt a public inquiry. They claim it was only publicized properly for the first time on October 26 with a small newspaper advert, and the deadline of November 9 for objections is “scandalous”.Dawn Carey-Jones, a member of the Friends of Woodhouse Moor, said: “They are trying to grab this land, get parts of it declassified and take the controversial bits out of the public inquiry”.A spokesman for Metro, which is spearheading the trolleybus project alongside Leeds council, said the appropriation proposals had been presented as part of the consultation in 2009. “The appropriation process is an internal one of transferring responsibility of land to different departments within the council,” he added. “The information has been available on the NGT website since 2009. Whatever happens, the promoters will still need to get permission to build the system. That will still need to be decided at a public inquiry and the inquiry will take into account the open nature and use of the park. Submit objections in writing to Legal Services, Leeds City Council, Civic Hall, Leeds, LS1 1UR by November 9.It's shameful that they are acting in this manner, and more so that they've only given a snail mail address to send objections to - no doubt hoping this will put many people off.Fortunately, an email address has been obtained by a the commenters on the piece: The NGT website says "Any person who wishes to object to the proposed appropriation should submit written representations to Legal Services, Leeds City Council, Civic Hall, Leeds, LS1 1UR, quoting Ref A76/DO/094793, by no later than the 9th day of November 2013". Since the deadline is only a few days away, I rang Legal Services (0113 247 5303) to request an email address to avoid postal delays. The receptionist told me I could email an objection to sarah.blenkin@leeds.gov.uk quoting the reference A76/DO/094793. She suggested setting the 'high importance' flag on the email.

And why is it like this Somme?Simply because they've failed, and failed in the past to attain any kind of funding for a decent transport scheme for Leeds, not only have they failed to get any funding, they've literally thrown millions of pounds away failing to do so to make matters even worse.Faced with this embarrassing problem, they know full well they have no bottle or backbone, and are not fit for purpose. They know full well they will never get any funding, and so in complete desperation we are reduced to this Civic Hall circus clown show that's rapidly descending into farce. That's the absolute truth of it all. I hope they burn the right effigies, and folly farce bus plans on those council bonfires tonight
