Another gem from the YEP.Last night Monday 19/11 the lead story on the frontpage was about drivers using mobile phones etc whilst driving. The story was continued on an inside page with the heading (from memory)Thousands fined for driving at the wheel.

Tonight's YEP has an article about road safety in Leeds on page 21, accompanied by a photo of queuing traffic captioned "TRAFFIC ARTERY: A busy time on the A64 in east Leeds".The picture actually shows the junction of the A64 with the A1237 York outer ring road near Stockton-on-the-Forest. That's VERY east Leeds; about 33 miles from the town hall by my reckoning.

I have only found 3 spelling errors in this short article. I'm not perfect, but surely a professional journalist would know how to run a spellcheck?http://m.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/new ... -1-6263348

On page 10 of the YEP today (November 27 2013) there is an article about the Leeds Archive service that is part of the West Yorkshire Joint Services (WYJS). The YEP reports there are tours of the Leeds Archive today at 11am, 1.30pm and 3pm and that "booking is essential". Nice of the YEP to report about the tours on the day that they occur!!!I've just had a look at the WYJS website and in that it states "It’s a year since Leeds Archive opened in its new premises at West Yorkshire Joint Services in Morley. To celebrate everyone is invited along to their free ‘Happy Birthday Open Day’ on Wednesday 27th November from 10am to 4pm."

www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/lat ... 649Another poorly written story of inaccuracies and errors from the YMP, featuring what appears to have been a jolly for the Lord and Lady Mayor...What, pray, is the Fleet Air ARMY?
